SEO contest, lately known as oes tsetnoc itself is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization contest, where in general SEO means “engineering / science” for optimization site, not “software” to optimize the site. The level of popularity of a site is determined by many factors, some of which are often discussed among others:
- Traffic to the site the user visits the
- The number of other sites (especially the famous sites that have high pagerank) that refers to your site (using backlink).
- Exchanging links / link exchange
- Submit URL to search engines site famous for the crawl (Google, Yahoo, etc.)
- Submit to the popular web directories (dmoz, etc)
- Participate in community social bookmarking (del.icio.us, digg, furl, etc.)
- etc.
Way that can be done to link exchange means to contact the webmaster site concerned to put your site link on their site. Try the site you want to invite link exchange has a higher pagerank of your site today.
But what about Oes Tsetnoc (read: SEO Contest)…?
Wordpress.com prohibited used for any SEO contest. And only for users wordpress.com blog (not wordpress.org), until the expiration of seo contest requested to not provide links in whatever form to your blog / web site seo contest organizer.
But why so many participants of this contest using WordPress as their blog media? Is it because WordPress is a SEO friendly tool. I believe it is one of the reasons, but most importantly because of the ease of use and also the number of additional plugins that enable the basic principles and basic SEO as described above.
